Cloves are from a tree that aromatic and belong to the family Myrtaceae, Syzygium aromaticum. It is an evergreen tree with three different forms of cloves. They are named as whole, ground and oil which have the same properties with different effectiveness. Oil is considered as the property with the highest potency and Cloves comes second as oil is contained in them.
Clove is used as whole buds and as minced in curry mixtures. Clove oil is mainly used in pharmaceutical and perfumery industries. It is been thoroughly used in the industry of pickling, ketchup and sauces.
